Dear Family,
In these turbulent economic times, our mission is to align the angels in our community who can "give aloha" to those who truly "need aloha."
Times are rough. Not a day goes by that we don't come across someone in our circle of aloha who are experiencing the fallout from the economic downturn including jobs lost, homes lost and Ohanas barely making ends meet.
These are the times we need to band together and demonstrate our spirit of aloha. Let's do that one Ohana at a time. There is no better time to start than now.
Frankly, we don't have much in financial resources, but our Hawaiian community has a wealth of encouragement, support, toys (perhaps slightly used after years of love), home cooked meal and gifts from the heart.
We also want to act as a clearinghouse for hope. We'll do our best to match those who "need aloha" with the angels in our community willing to "give aloha." We'll share your stories on our website with hopes that folks in our community will step up with offers to lend kokua.
We are all our brothers and sisters keepers. Let's do what we can and see how we can individually and collectively make a difference in our Hawaiian community. Please keep us in your good thoughts for a successful launch of Project Kokua Aloha, and keep in your prayers those that need them most.
